Rural Healthcare and Mental Health Access in AD-113

Access to healthcare in Upstate New York is not guaranteed.

Rural hospitals face financial strain. Emergency departments are stretched thin. Mental health services are limited in some communities. Telehealth expansion remains inconsistent.

Healthcare policy passed in Albany determines funding formulas, reimbursement rates, and regulatory frameworks that either support or weaken rural systems.

Assembly District 113 includes communities that rely on regional hospitals and small health centers. If those systems falter, families suffer.

As your Assembly representative, I will advocate for:

  • Fair rural hospital funding formulas

  • Expanded telehealth access

  • Mental health and addiction treatment resources

  • Support for community-based health providers

  • Regulatory reform that reduces administrative burdens on healthcare providers

Healthcare should be accessible and affordable — not determined by zip code.
