GOVERNOR GEORGE E. PATAKI ENDORSES ALLEN CARUSO FOR NEW YORK STATE ASSEMBLY IN 113TH DISTRICT
SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY, Sept. 14, 2026 — Former New York State Governor George E. Pataki today announced his official endorsement of small business owner and community leader Allen Caruso for the New York State Assembly in the 113th District, which encompasses portions of Saratoga, Warren, and Washington counties.
Three-term Governor Pataki cited Caruso’s commitment to restoring fiscal discipline, advancing commonsense environmental solutions, and most importantly making New York affordable for families, seniors, and small business owners as key reasons for his support.
"Allen Caruso represents the exact kind of common-sense leadership New York needs in Albany today," said former Governor George E. Pataki. "He understands that hardworking New Yorkers need the price of everyday necessities to come down, real property tax relief, and practical policies that protect our environment without destroying our economy. Caruso’s campaign platform emphasizes key legislative priorities designed to lower the cost of living and strengthen local communities:
Affordable Living & Senior Relief: Eliminating property taxes for seniors—ensuring primary residences remain safe havens for retirees—and calling for an independent audit of state government to cut taxes and spending by 30 percent.
Ending Illegal Immigrant & Corporate Welfare: Putting a stop to billions in free programs for illegal immigrants and tax credits for the film industry.
Commonsense Environmental Policies: Repealing the state’s costly and impractical electric school bus and car mandates and pursuing commonsense policies that protect our environment and our freedoms.
Public Safety: Supporting tough, effective laws that protect neighborhoods and put criminals where they belong - behind bars.
